Hugh Barit, President and CEO of P.R.P Performa Limited Hugh Barit graduated from Hobart College, Geneva, New York with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. On January 1, 1984 he joined IBM as a Marketing Representative, responsible for marketing the company’s products to multi-national insurance companies. He joined Performa Securities Limited, an investment management firm located in Bermuda, in June 1988 as Marketing Director, responsible for the management of the company’s captive insurance clients. In December 1992 he formed P.R.P. Performa Limited in Bermuda and is currently President and Chief Executive Officer. P.R.P. Performa Limited is one of the largest non-bank financial services companies on the island, with its primary service being portfolio management for offshore insurance and reinsurance companies. |

Gary Bowers, Tax Partner, Johnson Lambert & Co. Gary Bowers is a Tax Partner in Johnson Lambert & Co.'s Raleigh, North Carolina office. He has overall responsibility for the firm's tax services. Gary has extensive experience in corporate tax planning, corporate reorganizations, and negotiations with IRS Officials within the financial services sector. Kevin M. Doherty Kevin practices with the firm's Insurance Group. His experience concentrates on insurance regulatory law, with particular emphasis on captives, risk retention groups, self-insurance funds, and other alternative insurance vehicles. Kevin also practice entertainment law and represents recording artists, publishers, songwriters, and music-related companies in connection with all types of music industry agreements and transactions. Kevin is admitted to practice in Tennessee (1999), Georgia (1990) and New York (1986). He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Nashville Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia. Kevin is listed in Best Lawyers in America and has been recognized numerous times as one of the Nashville Business Journal 's "Best of the Bar", both for his work in Insurance Regulation. He also serves as Chair of the Middle Tennessee Better Business Bureau. Michael Kiley, Found and CEO of Chamberlain Group Michael Kiley is the founder and CEO of Chamberlain Group, a Southern California advisory firm specializing in multi-family office services, wealth management and executive benefits for high net-worth business owners. Chamberlain provides advisory services to the owners and senior executives of companies across the nation. For 34 years, Mike has been advising on succession planning, protection and transfer of wealth, and non-qualified benefits for corporations seeking to attract and retain key employees. He holds a Masters of Science degree in Financial Services (MSFS), is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and a shareholder of the M Financial Group, a Portland, Oregon based financial services firm serving public and private companies, and super-affluent families. Charles J. (“Chaz”) Lavelle Charles J. (Chaz) Lavelle is an attorney in the Louisville, Kentucky office of Greenebaum Doll & McDonald PLLC and was Tax Counsel for two taxpayer victories in captive insurance tax cases in the United States Court of Appeals: Humana Inc. v. Commissioner in the Sixth Circuit (litigating the “brother-sister” issue) and Ocean Drilling & Exploration Company v. United States in the Federal Circuit (litigating the outside business issue). He regularly counsels businesses in the formation, operation and taxation of captive insurance companies. He represents taxpayers in Federal tax controversies at all levels on a wide variety of issues, including captive insurance issues. He regularly writes and lectures on captive insurance tax topics, including several articles in the National Underwriter and speeches at ATLAS, NYU Tax Institute and for the Vermont, South Carolina, Arizona, Western and Kentucky Captive Insurance Associations. Micheal Merlino, Director of Medicare Compliance for Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc. (Sedgwick CMS). Mr. Merlino is the Director of Medicare Compliance for Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc. (Sedgwick CMS). In this newly created role Michael is responsible for planning and leading a new Medicare compliance department to assist Sedgwick CMS clients whose workers’ compensation, general liability, and professional liability claims involve personal injury matters with potential Medicare compliance components. Michael comes to Sedgwick CMS from a national Medicare compliance specialty provider where he was vice president of compliance and public relations. As a licensed attorney he is also experienced in workers’ compensation and general liability defense work. He brings years of experience in dealing with Medicare compliance issues from his private law practice. Also a nationally published author on Medicare compliance and MSA agreements, Michael has addressed large and small business organizations and state bar associations on these subjects.

David Michelson, President and CEO, National Interstate Corporation David W. Michelson was named President and Chief Executive Officer of National Interstate Corporation effective January 1, 2008. Prior to being named Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Michelson served as the Company’s President and Chief Operating Officer during 2007. Mr. Michelson has spent over twenty years contributing to the success of the National Interstate companies in multiple capacities, holding several positions during his initial employment with the Company from 1992-1998 and since rejoining National Interstate in 1999, including serving as Senior Vice President and Executive Vice President. Mr. Michelson has over thirty-two years of insurance industry experience, including over sixteen years in the Company’s specialized alternative risk business. Mr. Michelson previously served the insurance industry in various positions at Reliance Insurance Company, Liberty National Fire, and Progressive Corporation. Tim Over, Senior Vice President and National Director, Professional Liability for Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc. Tim is a career risk services professional with twenty-six years of experience in loss control, business process outsourcing, and casualty claims program design and marketing. Tim worked previously at Cambridge Integrated Services Group, Inc. where he held a dual appointment as executive vice president of the Complex Claims Division and as a vice president for national business development. Josh Partlow, Partner, Johnson Lambert & Co. LLP (Johnson Lambert). Josh is responsible for providing audit, consulting services and engagement management to various property-casualty insurers including commercial insurance companies, risk retention groups, captive insurance companies and companies registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission. He has extensive experience in the audits of publicly registered clients and has assisted clients through the process of an initial public offering and subsequent SEC Filings. Josh is a member of the Johnson Lambert Insurance Technical Committee. Josh is also responsible for the development and oversight of firm wide internal training program. Josh was appointed by the Governor of the State of Vermont as one of five members of the Vermont Board of Public Accountancy. The Board has the mission of public protection and is charged with administering the laws applicable to the public accounting profession in Vermont. Peter Rauner, Senior Consultant with Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, Inc. and Manager of its Chicago, Illinois office. Peter holds a Master of Arts degree in Actuarial Science from Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Earlham College, Richmond, Indiana. He has more than 22 years experience working in the insurance industry and has been a consulting actuary since 2001. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) and has been a designated member of the American Academy of Actuaries (AAA) since 1995. He currently serves on the AAA’s subcommittee on Medical Malpractice and the CAS’ Committee on Health Care Issues. Mr. Rauner has also participated as a panelist or moderator at several industry meetings. Prior to joining Pinnacle, Peter founded and ran an independent consulting firm for more than eight years. During this time, his practice focused primarily on delivering alternative market solutions to commercial and professional liability risks. Prior to establishing his consulting practice in 2001, Mr. Rauner served for almost 15 years as a corporate actuary for several insurance companies most recently as an Assistant Vice President in the Medical Services Division of the St. Paul Companies. Peter Rauner’s professional experience includes ratemaking, large account pricing, product development, reserving, regulatory compliance, captive feasibility analysis and expert witness testimony among others. Mr. Rauner is recognized by regulatory authorities as an approved actuarial specialist in many domestic and offshore jurisdictions and serves as the appointed actuary for several insurance entities. |

Jeffrey K. Simpson, Director, Stewart Law Firm Jeffrey received his A.B. degree from Brown University and his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law (where he was Editor of Outside Articles for the Villanova Sports and Entertainment Law Journal). Jeff serves as outside general counsel for small businesses. He assists his clients with all matters in the lifecycle of a business, including formation, financing, contracts, employment and strategic planning. His experience as an entrepreneur gives him a uniquely practical perspective in advising his business clients. William J. Thompson, FSA, MAAA Principal, Consulting Actuar, Milliman Bill is a principal and consulting actuary in the Hartford office of Milliman. He directs the healthcare consulting practice in that office and has been with the firm since 1988. Bill began his actuarial career in 1970, focusing on healthcare. His consulting practice focuses on strategic and operational solutions to challenges in all areas of healthcare. Bill’s clients include insurers, HMOs, employers, hospitals, physician organizations, regulators, medical device manufacturers, and others. Adam Forstot Adam Forstot has been in the insurance industry for more than 15 years. He began his career with a major auto carrier serving in various positions, including claims management, training and coverage analysis. Adam then worked for a regional commercial broker in Southern California as a Commercial Claims and Coverage Advisor. In this position, he advised clients and helped facilitate claims in a number of Property and Casualty lines, including General Liability, Auto, Property, Employment Practices and Director’s and Officers. In addition, Adam conducted research and gave presentations on contemporary claims and coverage issues such as mold liability and employment practices. Adam moved to USA Risk Group in 2004 to oversee their U.S. Virgin Islands office. While there, he was responsible for regulatory relations and oversight of Captive accounts in the U.S. and British Virgin Islands. Adam moved to USA Risk’s Greenville, SC office in March of 2006. There, he is responsible for the marketing and placement of reinsurance for existing and prospective captive clients. Adam also provides claim, policy and coverage analysis services. Adam has a degree in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego. He holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) designations. |

Martin Hole, President, USA Risk Group (Barbados), Ltd. Martin joined USA Risk Group in January 2008 as part of the purchase of MIMS International (Barbados), Ltd. In this position Martin in responsible for the management of the Company’s operations in Barbados, planning, developing and producing new areas of business and oversight of the captive management services provided. Prior to joining USA Risk Group, Martin led MIMS International for over 20 years. He has also held positions with Texaco Limited, Heddington Insurance Limited, American International Company, Ltd., American International Underwriters and Excess Insurance Company. Martin has been a director for the Barbados International Business Association, past President of the Barbados Exempt Insurance Managers Association and a member of the Barbados International Financial Services Advisory Committee. |

Jeff Kenneson, Senior Vice President Business Development of USA Risk Group, Inc. Jeff, a Certified Public Accountant since 1990, has over 19 years experience in the captive insurance industry. Jeff has had experience working for a large broker, a self-managed captive insurance company and for the past 10 years has focused the majority of his time in the creation and formation of captive arrangements ranging from single parents to sponsored facilities to risk retention groups. He is an active participant with the Vermont Captive Insurance Association and other industry associations and has also spoken at several industry conferences. He has been a member of the VCIA’s legislative committee for the past 10 years. Jeff holds the ARM designation which he earned in 1998 and has been a licensed insurance producer in the State of Vermont since 2005. Paul N. Macey, President of USA Risk Group (Cayman), LTD. Paul was promoted to President in July 2009. Paul joined USA Risk Group in late 2005 as Senior Vice President of USA Risk Group (Cayman), Ltd. In this position Paul is responsible for managing the Cayman office and dealing with all insurance related activities of client companies under management. Paul has over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, most recently as Partner and Insurance Manager of JLT Risk Solutions (Cayman), Limited. In this position, Paul was responsible for insurance related activities of client companies, including brokerage insurance technical support and program design. Thomas R. McMahon, President of Cedar Management Limited Thomas (Tom) McMahon was born and educated in Ireland . He attended University College Galway from 1980 to 1983 and graduated with an honours degree in commerce. Tom qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the autumn of 1987. In September 1988, Tom joined the firm of Coopers & Lybrand in Bermuda as an audit senior and served as an audit manager with the firm from June 1990 to June 1993. A significant amount of his time was spent on clients who formed part of Bermuda international business community - from captive insurance companies to large excess insurers as well as banking and mutual funds. In July 1993, Tom assumed the position of Financial Compliance Manager with ACE Insurance - one of the Island’s premier international insurers and the provider of high excess liability and directors and officers coverages. He was responsible for the company’s SEC reporting requirements, taxation and budgeting. In September 1994, Tom joined Continental Risk Services (“CRS”) - the captive management arm of the Continental Insurance Group, which subsequently became part of the CNA Group of Companies. In January, 2005, Tom, along with Michael Larkin and Dennis Silvia completed a management buy-out of the company and changed the name to Cedar Management Limited. Since joining the Company in 1994, Tom has been actively involved in the establishment and management of single parent and group captives and segregated account companies. |

Paul R. Newton, Senior Vice President of USA Risk Group South Carolina, Inc. As Vice President of South Carolina operations, Paul is responsible for a portfolio of clients and serves as the primary contact for South Carolina clients and the South Carolina Department of Insurance. Paul earned a degree in Economics at Clemson University and completed a concentration in Accounting at the College of Charleston. A Certified Public Accountant since 1991, he has worked extensively in both public and private accounting and is active in the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. Andrew Sargeant, Chief Operating Officer of USA Risk Group, Inc. Andy, an English Chartered Accountant, has been involved with the formation and management of captives since 1980 when he moved to Bermuda from the U.K. He transferred to Vermont in 1992 and has been with USA Risk Group of since 1995, currently serving as President of all onshore captive management offices and Chief Operating Officer of the group as a whole. With hands on experience in managing both offshore and onshore captives, Andy brings an invaluable insight to all aspects of a captive’s operation.
