USA Risk Group has been known as an innovator since it was founded in 1981 as Vermont Insurance Management. During the industry’s early years, company founder H. Lincoln Miller, Jr. helped enact legislation that enabled Vermont to become the pre-eminent captive domicile within the United States. In subsequent years, USA Risk Group established member companies in additional, strategically located captive domiciles such as USA Risk Group of Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Arizona, and South Carolina. USA Risk Group experienced additional growth by diversifying its service offerings through an international network of member companies.
